Is there a difference between Lortabs and Vicodin?

If so which one is stronger? Just got in a car accident and the doctor prescribed vicodin but someone said Lortabs are stronger ... is that true?

Lortab and Vicodin contain the same medication, plus Tylenol. Lortab has less Tylenol, so it's not as hard on your liver. They both come in 5 mg, 7.5 mg and 10 mg, so it's the strength that really matters not which brand name you get.

vicodin comes in in 7.5's and lortabs come in 5.0, 7.5, and 10mgs so the answer to your question is lortabs are stronger but it doesn't create the sense of euphoria you have when you you take a couple of vicodins, plus vicodin have a muscle relaxer in it to help relive tension in the area which is in pain because when you are in pain you tend to tense up
