Is there a way to check the prescription on eyeglasses?

I have the sneaking suspicion that they put the lenses on the wrong sides of my new glasses. Is there any way to prove that?
Answer:
get a copy of your RX and have the optometrist check the glasses to see if they are done right. They have a machine to put them in to see what the RX of the glasses are.
Hmmm.

I would take a copy of the prescription and the eyeglasses to any LensCrafters or similar eyeglass place and ask them to check it out for you. I am sure they would do that for free.

If they confirm your suspicion, take them back to the place that made them up for you; However, if they say the glasses match the prescription, be sure that the glasses fit you properly (that the temples aren't too long and that they sit in the proper place on your nose). If all of that is correct, then go back to the person who wrote the prescription -- perhaps an error was made when it was written up.
